Rise of Saints Chapter 9

CHAPTER 9 – I AM SAMUS ARAN
Captain Cutter hesitated on answering Samus's question, but finally he decided to go over there. He used a platform in front of him to go down to the lower floor; Dr. Ellen Anders, how has been beside Captain Cutter all the time, followed him.  Samus stared at Captain Cutter while he was coming to her. Captain Cutter waited until he was at an appropriate distance from Samus and said: "Captain James Cutter, Commander of this ship, the Spirit of Fire, please say name, and rank"
"Bounty Hunter Samus Aran sir"
"Bounty Hunter?" Asked Captain Cutter. But then, an hologram from Adam came out from a console nearby to the ship, and Adam said:
"Serina, you are never going to be able to pass the Firewall of the ship's console, you can stop trying, or I may be forced to use an anti-virus on you"
The hologram of Serina appeared in the same console but different projector at the other side of where Adam's image was been reproduced.
"What? How can you even know my name?"
"It says that on your program, the ship is not any difficult to hack"
Serina felt a bit insulted and showed anger in her face.
"This hologram idea is pretty good, I wonder why the Galactic Federation hasn't thought of it yet" Said Adam
Samus looked with love the hologram of Adam; Samus has always loved him as a father. Since her parents died when she was very young, Adam has always been her tutor. He had his serious and angry face he had always, he was wearing his commander suit and that he used before becoming a computer; it showed authority, pretty much what characterized him. Adam was the only person who could put her in a sentimental way; overall the day Samus thought she lost her in the Tube station. Adam was her commander in that mission, along with Adam's team, the very first time since she abandoned the G.F Army, and became a bounty hunter. Samus lost contact of Adam during a point of the mission, and then, she found him in a hidden sector of the ship, where the body of the MB, or Mother Brain was, a total reproduction of Tourian, Adam sacrificed himself to eliminate Mother Brain, one of the few times she actually cried, very rare on her.  He separated sector cero from the rest of the tube base, she never knew how he eliminated Mother Brain, since compared to Samus, Adam had very weak weapons to face the Metroids and Mother Brain. He never thought about it until that very moment in the Spirit of Fire.
"Already messing with the ship's software?" Asked Samus sarcastically to Adam
"I had to try Samus" Answered Adam as cold as ice, like he usually did.
"Samus Aran, could you explain us what is this about? He just mentioned something about a Galactic Federation, could you explain that to us?"
"Can we go somewhere more for the occasion, this place seems inappropriate, and please, tell your troops to lower their weapons, we are not enemies" Said Adam.
"Lower your weapons" Captain Cutter pointed to the troops "Spartans come with us" Captain Cutter ordered then as he left, been followed by Samus.
Adam's presence kind of bothered Serina;  Adam was able to hack into the system of the ship without even been detected, not a single trace of him doing that, she couldn't even find connections that could let Adam do that, she couldn't even get how was he able to install himself on the ship, since that's what he just did.
Dr. Anders, has remained quiet during all this time, which was not normal on her, she always had something to say, especially on this cases. But she was analyzing and ordering her ideas about Samus, thinking what she really was, from where she came from, etc. but most importantly for her, her armor. Samus's armor wasn't at all UNSC style; she found many factors in her armor very questionable. She first observed her armor color, golden, it is not a good camouflage, she just couldn't get why golden. Also, the structure of her armor. It was very adjusted to her body,  so it didn't look like it protected her at all, since there is not a single blindage type that could be effective to protect the user from modern bullets that could be that thin. Plus, the armor didn't look to be painted, so she thought the armor must be made of gold, a very bad metal to use on shielding, but it kind of looked like another type of gold, it was something different surely. Also, Samus's Arm Cannon, it seemed attached to the suit, but she couldn't see from where it could be reloaded,  plus she couldn't find  in all Samus's armor a place to put any magazines or any type of equipment, it wasn't customizable at all. So she thought that maybe the arm cannon was powered by a power cell inside the arm cannon, just like the covenant does with their weapons, but if the arm cannon was attached to the armor, if the power cell ran out of power like with the energy cells of the covenant weapons, the arm cannon will be useless and she will remain with only one arm and the other one covered with a big useless cylinder attached to it, they of  possibility of an inexhaustible energy cell inside crossed her mind, but then she thought that was completely ridiculous and impossible, so she kept wondering. She also noticed that she had no melee weapons in her, so how could Samus defend herself when out of ammo? She kept wondering, but unable to get an answer. As Samus passed by, all of the soldiers kept staring at her, wondering the same, is she UNSC? Is she even human? Is she a Spartan? But none of them could figure an answer to this.
Cpt. Cutter and Dr. Anders where both perplex all of the way to the observation deck, when they finally got there, all of the officers where as perplex as the soldiers previously.
Captain Cutter Sat down in a chair before a table and expected Samus to do the same, but she kept standing, while Dr. Andres, she stood at the side of Cpt. Cutter.
Adam appeared in his hologram in the console in the table, while Serina appeared in a console a bit far from the table, she appeared to be a bit angry, since she was planning to appear were Adam was right now.  While the Spartans, they stood near the door.
"Chill out Serina" Said Adam, "This is important"
This just made Serina fell a little bit angrier. Finally, Adam turned to face Cpt. Cutter and Dr. Anders and said:
"My name is Adam Malkovich, Commander of the Galactic Federation Armada and pilot AI of the Battleship assigned to bounty hunter Samus Aran, I served in life for almost 40 years and then gone MIA in a mission to kill a classified enemy of the Galactic Federation, by classified means I was saved before death and had my mind downloaded as an IA, and served in my first mission as an IA commanding Bounty Hunter Samus Aran on an also classified mission."
Cpt. Cutter and Dr. Anders looked at each other with their mounds half open, the Spartans and officers did the same, all of them where now paying close attention to what Adam was saying, all of them had a nervous feeling over them, and Jerome and his Spartans felt like the next days where not going to be good, and for some reason, he felt like preparing his shotgun, and for some reason, Alice and Douglas made the same with their M7 submachine guns, but they kept  their guns low, Samus notice this, she heard the sound of the guns being graved and placed her hand in her arm cannon and turned her body a bit to the left, like waiting to the Spartans to shot, who were in the back of her.  Cpt. Cutter also noticed this and became very  nervous for both what Adam said and for the fight that seemed to be about to happen, even some officers where very nervous and some of them tried to leave the room, but their curiosity kept them there. Serina and Dr. Anders both stayed still, but both nervous. Adam, without even turning, he said in his cold voice as usual: "Captain, tell your Spartans not to provoke Samus, unless you want them three dead"
The three Spartans looked at each other; Samus was now looking at them through one of her eyes, still with her body facing the table. The Spartans felt some fright going through their bodies, and all of the people there felt frightened. Adam sounded so sure of himself, made them question who Samus was, all of them where frightened, even Serina and Cpt. Cutter, just that they didn't show the fright. They thought they were before a fiend, because Samus didn't look scared at the might of the Spartans and for what Adam just said, that Samus could have them three dead
Then Samus said "I am Bounty Hunter Samus Aran, once in the G.F army serving as Corporal Samus Aran, never ascended to Sargent for lack of leadership, I formed part of a Special Group of soldiers commanded by Commander Adam Malkovich, my direct superior and tutor. Decided to become a bounty hunter often contracted by the Galactic Federation. I am also known as the new born by the Chozo race, and I am currently in a quest to find Orbital Drop Shock Trooper John Doe"

The tension in the room just grew, what had happened in the last 50 years? Everyone though, now they knew she never was a Spartan but, a bounty hunter? They still were unable to understand this. And was the UNSC now known as the Galactic Federation, what happened, who were the Chozo?
"Captain James Cutter" Said Adam "Dr. Ellen Anders" Said Adam again "What you are about to hear, may change your world forever"
